The troop was honored this summer by the employment of two of it's older scouts, Krystan Offerman (age 16, Life Scout) and Brian "Turtle" Fennessy (also 16, First Class), at Camp Keowa, part of Ten Mile River Scout Reservation.
Brian worked as at the waterfront and as a nature instructor, while Krystan also worked at waterfront, and then took the position of dining hall steward. Check out the Pictures Back to the Top

Went on our shotgun campout to Three Foot Gun Club. The motto for this campout was 5,000 or bust.(rounds of shells, that is) It was three days of skeet shooting, rifle shooting, and an invisible tracer performance. We also participated in the Jamboree On The Air, in which two ameteur operators came, set up these hundred foot towers, and we talked to people from all over the world. Went camping at Bass River State Forest. Emphasis of this campout was completing rank requirements. Everyone attending got a lot of things done, including a few scouts getting both their totin' chips and their firemen chits. Also, a couple scouts are ready for advancing on to tenderfoot, 2nd class, And 1st class. There was a troop from Lavalette naxt door. One of the scouts tured out to be Steven "The Great White Snipe Hunter" Workmeister's cousin! What a coincidence. They also had a generator with a Mr. Coffee. Yeah, that's roughing it. It was a fun time, from the Snipe Hunt, to dragging trees down the road, and to the fajitas that were so hot no one would eat them. Oh well, just more for Brian and Krystan! Back to the Top

December 13th & 14th
With it being the last and busiest weekend of hunting season, the troop descided to be safe and have their campout indoors, in the all-purpose room of the education building. It was a high-tech campout: two televisions, a playstation, a super nintendo,a couple sterio systems, a computer, and a partridge in a pair tree. Brian Fennessy and Mike McGuire built a 30-foot monkey bridge. After it was completed, it was taken outside and hung up between two trees. Most of the venture patrol managed to stay up all night, while those who didn't were bombarded with cookies and shaving cream. Also instead of cooking they descided to order out McDonald's, and then pizza for lunch. A lot of advancements were done, and Merit Badges completed. Overall, it was a great time. Back to the Top

The troop Christmas party. A heck of a party from the unique grab-bag gifts (a 9-pack of toilet paper, and a box of coal) to volleyball/soccer to the pizza and soda enjoyed by most. Back to the Top
