Welcome to the Homepage of Jersey Shore Council's Unit 6, BSA (formaly
Ocean County Council). This Unit consits of a Cub
Scout Pack, Boy Scout Troop and a Sea
Explorer Ship. This unit has been very succesful in past years. The
Pack is nearing it's 50th anniversery, and the Troop is only a few years
behind. The Explorer Ship, on the other hand, is only a mear 1 year old.
It was started primarily as something for to keep the older scouts of the
Troop involved with scouting. Our program as a unit works very well, members
of the troop are Den Chiefs for the pack and members of the Explorer Ship
are still active with troop. They not only assist with the running of the
troop, but also with the advancement of the younger scouts. We believe
that this is good because it gives the younger scouts, or cub scouts, something
to look forward to in their scouting future.
